Class description

I currently teach three classes weekly.  The classes are considered beginning/continuing.  This means that if you are a new to yoga or have never done yoga, you will be able to do my classes.  It also means that if you are a continuing student and have current yoga experience or have practiced yoga in the past, you will also be able to do my classes.

The way I teach my classes is to give you the beginning pose and then offer variations for more experienced students and also offer modifications for various limitations or restrictions.  That is the beauty of yoga. . . it is adaptable, modifiable and individual.  Yoga should not be one size fits all!  Through my teachings, I will help you listen to your body and your breath, which enables you to actually be your own "best" teacher.

My classes start with a short beginning relaxation to help you make the transition from your busy day into your yoga practice.  We then move into some warm-ups for the legs, arms, hips and low back.  With the body warmed-up, we progress into yoga postures, or asanas.  The class ends with some breath work and a final relaxation.
